Before You Begin…
Our recipes call for 100% pure Beeswax Co. beeswax. In each case, melt beeswax gently and safely using a double boiler. Keep beeswax uncovered while melting — you don’t want boiling water to condense on the lid and drip into your wax. Do not use a microwave — beeswax can easily reach the flash point and ignite.
What Can You Make With Beeswax?
Lip Balm
1tblsp beeswax
2 tblsp coconut oil
2 capsules vitamin E
Bare Wood Finish
1lb beeswax
1 pint turpentine
1 pint boiled linseed oil
Apply with soft cloth, dry, then buff with wool
Petroleum Jelly
1ounce beeswax
1/2 cup mineral oil (or baby oil)
All Purpose Skin Cream
3 ounces beeswax
2/3 cup mineral oil or baby oil
4 ounces lanolin
3/4 cup water
1 tsp borax
a few drops of you favorite
fragrant oil
Herbal Salve
2 ounces beeswax
1 ounce Jojoba oil
3 ounces sweet almond oil
1/2 ounce canola oil
2 tblsp essential oil of your choice
Lip Gloss
1tblsp beeswax
tblsp sweet almond or coconut oil
4 drops essential oil (orange, lemon, mint,….)
Wood Furniture Polish
1ounce beeswax
1 pint turpentine
2 cups water
1 ounce soap flakes
Hand Lotion
1 part beeswax
4 parts olive oil (add a little
coconut oil)
Antiseptic Balm
2 ounces beeswax
1 ounce Jojoba oil
3 ounces sweet almond oil
1tblsp wheatgerm oil
1 tblsp myrrh essential oil
1 tblsp tea tree essential oil
Moisturizing Cream
1ounce beeswax
4 ounces sweet almond oil
2 ounces water
1 tsp vitamin E oil
1 tsp lavender essential oil
